Inhibitory effect of chrysin on estrogen biosynthesis by suppression of enzyme aromatase (CYP19): A systematic review
Inhibitory effect of chrysin on estrogen biosynthesis by suppression of enzyme aromatase (CYP19): A systematic review

Chrysin is a flavonoid that can inhibit aromatase, an enzyme that converts androgens into estrogens. Chrysin has been studied as a potential treatment for hormone-dependent cancers, such as breast cancer.

Puerarin suppresses invasion and vascularization of endometriosis tissue stimulated by 17β-estradiol
Puerarin suppresses invasion and vascularization of endometriosis tissue stimulated by 17β-estradiol

Phytoestrogens are estrogen-like compounds derived from plants. While they can promote estrogen‐like activity, this does not typically happen in women of reproductive age. This is because, when estrogens are normal (normally high in reproductive age women), they act as anti-estrogens. An isoflavone (type of phytoestrogens), puerarin, have been shown to inhibit endometriosis.
